Brand-New Pitch, Blockbuster Fixtures: Intility Arena's Autumn Awaits
Intility Arena has unveiled a brand-new artificial surface just in time for the most demanding run of home fixtures in the 2026 Eliteserien season. Title challengers Bodø/Glimt have already visited, and Molde, Brann, Fredrikstad and Rosenborg are all still to come. A relocated cup tie against Christiania BK adds yet more weight to an already stacked schedule at Valle Hovin.
A New Surface for a New Challenge
Intility Arena heads into the most demanding stretch of the 2026 Eliteserien season with a significant upgrade beneath its players' feet. During the Eliteserien summer break, a brand-new artificial grass surface was laid at the Valle Hovin ground, replacing the old pitch and bringing the stadium up to peak condition ahead of a packed autumn fixture list.
The new surface was first used when Ham-Kam visited on 31 July, but it was properly put to the test on Saturday, 8 August, when title challengers Bodø/Glimt made the trip to Oslo — a match widely regarded as the most anticipated home fixture of the entire 2026 season.
A Who's Who of Norwegian Football Still to Come
The Bodø/Glimt clash was only the beginning. Molde are due at Intility Arena on 29 August, with Fredrikstad following on 20 September and Brann on 18 October. The home campaign closes with what is already being circled on calendars across Oslo: a season-finale showdown against Rosenborg, pencilled in for 6 December.
Adding to the excitement, the club confirmed on 14 August that a cup tie against Christiania BK has been relocated to Intility Arena, meaning the stadium will host even more action than originally planned. Women's top-flight football also comes to Valle Hovin, with Vålerenga W set to host Hønefoss W in Toppserien on 19 August.
Matchday Info for Supporters
Tickets for upcoming fixtures are on sale now through the club's official ticketing platform. Discounts are available for students, seniors, military personnel and children up to 12 years of age, while children aged four and under are admitted free when seated on a parent's lap.
Suporters are reminded that the Østblokka and Oslotaxi Tribune are reserved exclusively for Vålerenga fans, with away supporters directed to the designated sections in fields 201 and 202. Intility Arena operates a strict no-smoking and no-re-entry policy, and intoxicated persons will be refused entry.
