Fresh Turf, Fierce Fixtures: Intility Arena Ready for Blockbuster Autumn
Intility Arena has unveiled a brand-new artificial pitch just in time for the toughest stretch of Vålerenga's 2026 Eliteserien season. The surface has already hosted Bodø/Glimt, with Molde, Fredrikstad, Brann and Rosenborg all still to come. Tickets are on sale now for what promises to be the stadium's most compelling home schedule in years.
A New Surface for the Season's Biggest Tests
Intility Arena has completed one of its most significant infrastructure upgrades in recent memory. During the Eliteserien summer break, the stadium's old playing surface was torn up and replaced with a brand-new artificial grass pitch, ensuring the Valle Hovin ground is in peak condition as Vålerenga enter the most demanding run of fixtures in their 2026 campaign.
The new surface was first used on 31 July when Ham-Kam visited, and was properly christened on 8 August when title contenders Bodø/Glimt made the trip to Oslo — a match widely billed as the most anticipated home fixture of the entire season.
What the Autumn Schedule Holds
The Bodø/Glimt clash is just the opening act. Molde are due at Intility Arena on 29 August, followed by Fredrikstad on 20 September, Brann on 18 October, and a season-closing showdown against Rosenborg pencilled in for 6 December — a run of fixtures that represents one of the most compelling home schedules the 16,556-capacity arena has seen in years.
Adding further weight to an already packed autumn, a cup tie against Christiania BK has also been moved to Intility Arena, giving home supporters yet another chance to experience the new surface under competitive conditions.
Women's Football and the Reserves Also on Show
It is not only the men's first team filling the calendar. Vålerenga W bring Toppserien football to the ground on 19 August when they host Hønefoss W, while Vålerenga II continue their 3. Division campaign with upcoming home fixtures at the stadium.
With tickets on sale now across multiple price categories — including concessions for students, seniors, military personnel and children — and children under four admitted free when seated on a parent's lap, the club is clearly intent on making the most of an exceptionally busy home stretch. The Østblokka and Oslotaxi Tribune remain reserved exclusively for Vålerenga supporters, with away fans directed to designated sections in fields 201 and 202.
