Intility Arena's New Pitch Ushers In a Blockbuster Autumn
Intility Arena has unveiled a brand-new artificial playing surface, installed during the summer break and ready in time for the second half of the 2026 Eliteserien season. The upgrade sets the stage for a packed home schedule that runs all the way to a potential Rosenborg showdown in December. Vålerenga Women and the club's reserve side are also set to make regular use of the revamped surface.
A Summer Transformation Underfoot
Intility Arena has completed a major infrastructure upgrade ahead of the second half of the 2026 Eliteserien season: the stadium's old playing surface has been replaced by a brand-new artificial pitch. The work was finished in time for the Bodø/Glimt fixture on 8 August, ensuring the ground was fully match-ready for one of the highest-profile home dates in recent memory.
The new surface is part of a broader effort to keep Intility Arena at the forefront of Norwegian top-flight venues, reinforcing the stadium's status as one of the best-equipped arenas in the country.
A Packed Autumn Fixture List
The upgraded pitch will be well used. After Molde's visit on 29 August, the home schedule continues with Brann, Fredrikstad, Tromsø and, finally, Rosenborg — currently pencilled in for 6 December in what would be a dramatic way to close out the home campaign.
Vålerenga Women are also in action at the arena on 19 August, hosting Hønefoss W in the Toppserien. Vålerenga II, meanwhile, have already returned to the stadium — the reserve side played a 3. Division fixture against IF Ready on 17 August.
Matchday Essentials for Fans
With a busy run of games ahead, supporters planning a visit should note that Intility Arena enforces a strict no-smoking and no-re-entry policy on matchdays. Away supporters are directed to the designated sections in fields 201 and 202, while the Østblokka and Oslotaxi Tribune remain exclusively for Vålerenga fans.
Tickets are available through the club's official platform across categories including adult, student, senior, military and children. Children aged four and under are admitted free when seated on a parent's lap.
