Fredrikstad broke the deadlock on 52 minutes through Solomon Owusu, assisted by S. Leach Holm, leaving Vålerenga with a mountain to climb in front of their own supporters.
Jarl Rescues a Point for the Home Side
The equaliser arrived with 14 minutes left when Sebastian Jarl finished to make it 1-1, with Lucas Haren picking up the assist. It was a moment that brought the home end to life and ensured Intility Arena witnessed a share of the spoils rather than a defeat.
Fredrikstad were reduced to ten men shortly afterwards when I. Amundsen received a red card on 82 minutes, though Vålerenga could not capitalise fully in the remaining time.

A crowd of 10,865 supporters filed into Intility Arena for the fixture, filling the stadium to approximately 66 per cent of its 16,556 capacity. The match was played on the stadium's recently installed artificial pitch, which has been one of the headline upgrades ahead of this autumn's busy programme of home fixtures.
Referee Sigurd Smehus Kringstad oversaw a feisty encounter that finished goalless at half-time before bursting into life in the second period.
