New Pitch, Glimt Win: Intility Arena's Autumn in Full Swing
Intility Arena unveiled a brand-new artificial surface just in time for the 2026 season's run-in. A sell-out crowd of 16,556 watched Bodø/Glimt win 2–1 on its debut, but a blockbuster autumn schedule — featuring Molde, Brann, Fredrikstad and Rosenborg — still lies ahead.
A New Surface for the Run-In
Intility Arena enters the most demanding stretch of the 2026 Eliteserien season looking sharper than ever, following the installation of a brand-new artificial grass surface during the summer break. The upgrade was completed ahead of the second half of the campaign, with the new pitch first used when Ham-Kam visited on 31 July.
The surface was then truly put to the test on 8 August, when reigning title challengers Bodø/Glimt made the trip to Oslo. A sell-out crowd of 16,556 — filling Intility Arena to capacity — turned out for what was billed as the most anticipated home fixture of the entire 2026 season.
Glimt Silence a Packed House
Despite the electric atmosphere generated by a full house at Valle Hovin, it was the visitors who had the last word. Bodø/Glimt left Oslo with a 2–1 victory, silencing the home crowd on the occasion of the stadium's new pitch debut.
The result was a blow for Vålerenga, but the performance of the stadium itself — and the quality of its new surface — drew widespread attention ahead of a packed autumn schedule.
A Blockbuster Calendar Still to Come
The fixture list at Intility Arena remains as compelling as ever. Molde are next in line for an Eliteserien visit on 29 August, followed later in the season by Fredrikstad on 20 September, Brann on 18 October, and a season-closing showdown with Rosenborg on 6 December.
Off the back of the Bodø/Glimt defeat, a cup tie against Christiania BK was also confirmed to be relocated to Intility Arena, adding yet another home fixture to an already stacked schedule. On the women's side, Vålerenga W hosted Hønefoss W in the Toppserien on 19 August, further underlining the stadium's role as a hub for top-level football across multiple competitions.
Tickets and Stadium Information
Tickets for upcoming matches are on sale through the club's official ticketing platform, with discounts available for students, seniors, military personnel and children up to 12 years of age. Children aged four and under are admitted free when seated on a parent's lap.
As always at Intility Arena, away supporters are directed to the designated sections in fields 201 and 202. The Østblokka and Oslotaxi Tribune remain reserved exclusively for Vålerenga fans. The stadium operates a strict no-smoking and no-re-entry policy.
