New Pitch, Massive Fixtures: Intility Arena Ready for the Big Autumn
Intility Arena has unveiled a brand-new artificial surface just in time for the most intense stretch of the 2026 Eliteserien season. Molde are next up on 29 August, with Fredrikstad, Brann and Rosenborg all still to visit before the year is out. A relocated cup tie against Christiania BK adds even more football to an already stacked home schedule.
A New Surface for a New Challenge
Intility Arena has received one of its most significant infrastructure upgrades in recent years. During the Eliteserien summer break, a brand-new artificial grass surface was laid at the Valle Hovin ground, replacing the old pitch and ensuring the stadium is in peak condition heading into the most demanding stretch of the 2026 campaign.
The new surface was put to the test almost immediately. Vålerenga's first home match after the summer break was played on 31 July, before the pitch was truly christened on 8 August when reigning title challengers Bodø/Glimt made the trip down to Oslo — a fixture widely regarded as one of the most anticipated home matches of the entire 2026 season.
Molde Up Next at Valle Hovin
With the Bodø/Glimt chapter closed, attention at Intility Arena now turns firmly to the next big test: Molde, who are due in Oslo on 29 August with a 14:00 kick-off. The fixture continues what has become one of the most compelling home schedules the stadium has seen in years, with top-flight visitors queuing up throughout the autumn.
Later in the season, Fredrikstad arrive on 20 September and Brann on 18 October, before the campaign closes with what is already shaping up to be a blockbuster finale against Rosenborg on 6 December.
Cup Football Added to the Mix
As if the league programme were not enough, a cup tie against Christiania BK has also been relocated to Intility Arena — a move confirmed on 14 August. The switch gives supporters another early opportunity to experience the new pitch under match conditions and adds further weight to an already packed home calendar.
On the women's side, Vålerenga W brought Toppserien football to the ground on 19 August with a home fixture against Hønefoss W, meaning the stadium has been serving all three of the club's senior sides this summer.
Tickets and Stadium Information
Tickets for the Molde match and all remaining home fixtures are on sale now through the club's official ticketing platform. Discounts are available for students, seniors, military personnel and children up to 12 years of age, and children aged four and under are admitted free when seated on a parent's lap.
Away supporters are directed to the designated sections in fields 201 and 202, while the Østblokka and Oslotaxi Tribune are reserved exclusively for Vålerenga fans. The stadium maintains a strict no-smoking and no-re-entry policy, and intoxicated persons will be refused admission.
