Intility Arena has received a significant upgrade ahead of the second half of the 2026 Eliteserien season: a brand-new artificial surface has been laid, replacing the old pitch. The timing signals a renewed sense of ambition at Vålerenga's home ground, which now boasts a gleaming new playing surface just as the fixture list heats up.
With a capacity of 16,556, the arena is set to host some of the most anticipated clashes of the Norwegian top flight before the year is out — including visits from Molde, Brann, Fredrikstad, and Rosenborg.
Bodø/Glimt Arrive for a Sell-Out Showdown
The first test of the new pitch could not come at a higher level. Reigning title challengers Bodø/Glimt make the trip to Oslo for Eliteserien Round 17 on Saturday, 8 August, with kick-off at 14:00 local time — and the match has already sold out.
Vålerenga currently sit ninth in the Eliteserien table with 20 points from 15 matches, making this a crucial fixture as the club pushes to climb the standings. The sell-out crowd underlines just how much anticipation has built around what is shaping up to be a pivotal second half of the season.

As always at Intility Arena, away supporters are restricted to the designated away section in fields 201 and 202. The Østblokka and Oslotaxi Tribune remain exclusively for Vålerenga supporters.
