Fresh Turf and a Double-Header: Intility Arena's Biggest Week of Autumn
Intility Arena enters the autumn stretch with a brand-new artificial pitch and two top-flight home fixtures in the space of just four days. Vålerenga W host Haugesund W on Thursday before the men take on Fredrikstad on Sunday. It is shaping up to be the most exciting week of the home calendar so far.
A New Surface for the Biggest Autumn in Years
Intility Arena has received a full pitch upgrade ahead of what the club has described as one of the most demanding home schedules in the stadium's history. The brand-new artificial turf surface was laid ahead of the autumn programme and has already seen action, with Vålerenga II using it for back-to-back reserve-team home fixtures in early September.
The new surface gives Vålerenga's players a consistent and reliable base as the Eliteserien title race enters its most critical phase.
A Week of Double Top-Flight Action
Fans heading to Intility Arena this week are in for a treat. Vålerenga W kick things off on Thursday 17 September at 18:00, hosting Haugesund W in a Toppserien clash — the first senior outing on the new turf in the women's top flight.
Just three days later, on Sunday 20 September at 14:30, the men's side welcome Fredrikstad to the stadium for an Eliteserien Round 22 encounter. The double-header means supporters can enjoy two top-flight home fixtures at Intility Arena within the same week.
What Lies Ahead at Intility
The packed home schedule does not stop there. After Fredrikstad, Intility Arena will host SK Brann on 18 October, Tromsø IL on 1 November, IK Start on 22 November, and Rosenborg BK in the season finale on 6 December — an extraordinary autumn run for supporters in Oslo.
Tickets for all remaining home matches are available through the club's official ticketing platform, with discounted prices for students, seniors, military personnel and children. Gates open 90 minutes before kick-off, and supporters are reminded that re-entry is not permitted once they have passed through the turnstiles. Visiting fans for all fixtures are directed to the designated away sections in blocks 201 and 202.
