Fresh Pitch, Fierce Fixtures: Intility Arena Ready for a Big Autumn
Intility Arena has emerged from the Eliteserien summer break with a brand-new artificial surface and a blockbuster schedule to match. Bodø/Glimt have already visited, with Molde, Brann, Fredrikstad and Rosenborg all still to come before the season closes in December.
A Summer Upgrade Complete
Intility Arena heads into the second half of the 2026 Eliteserien season with a significant infrastructure upgrade: the stadium's old playing surface has been replaced by a brand-new artificial pitch. The work was completed in time for the Bodø/Glimt clash on 8 August, ensuring the arena was fully match-ready for one of the biggest home dates of the season.
The stadium on Valle Hovin in east Oslo holds 16,556 spectators and has served as Vålerenga's home ground since opening in 2017. The new surface signals a renewed sense of ambition as the club enters what promises to be a defining autumn.
A Calendar Full of Top-Flight Visitors
The new pitch will be put to the test quickly and often. Reigning title challengers Bodø/Glimt visited on 8 August, with Molde to follow on 29 August — both among the most demanding fixtures Vålerenga face at home all season.
Beyond August, the home schedule only grows in stature. Fredrikstad arrive on 20 September, SK Brann on 18 October, and the campaign closes with a potentially decisive clash against Rosenborg on 6 December. It is shaping up to be one of the most demanding and exciting home rosters Intility Arena has seen in years.
Women's and Reserve Football on the Bill Too
The action at Intility Arena is not limited to the men's Eliteserien side. Vålerenga Women bring Toppserien football to the ground, with a home fixture against Hønefoss W scheduled for 19 August. Vålerenga II are also active at the stadium, with a 3. Division home match against IF Ready set for 17 August.
With three different Vålerenga sides calling the arena home this month, supporters will find no shortage of live football on Valle Hovin across the coming weeks.
What Fans Need to Know
Tickets for upcoming home fixtures are on sale through the club's official ticketing platform, with discounts available for students, seniors, military personnel and children up to 12 years of age. Children aged four and under are admitted free when seated on a parent's lap.
As always at Intility Arena, the Østblokka and Oslotaxi Tribune are reserved exclusively for Vålerenga supporters. Away fans must use the designated sections in fields 201 and 202. The stadium enforces a strict no-smoking and no-re-entry policy, and intoxicated persons will be refused entry.
